How to Get Words Like Best Friends Forever Inside of a Facebook Picture
Windows 7 and Microsoft Paint can add words on a photo file. The Paint program includes a "Text" command with buttons to adjust the font, size and color for a custom look. Phrases such as "Best Friends Forever" can be superimposed on the photograph. The edited photo can upload to your Facebook profile for your Facebook friends and other viewers to see.

Adding Text to a Photo File

Open the Windows "Pictures library."

Click the photo file. Do not open this file.

Click the drop-down arrow next to the "Open" button. This button is located in the Windows tool bar. A list of programs appears.

Click the "Paint" program. The photo file opens.

Adjust the zoom scale of the photo, especially if the photo appears huge. A zoom slider is located at the bottom right of the screen. Drag the button on the slider to the left to reduce the size on the window. For example, "25%."

Click the "Home" tab on the ribbon.

Click the "Text" button in the "Tools" group. This button displays an "A" with orange fill color. A "Text Tools" ribbon appears.

Insert and drag the cursor on the photograph. A text box with broken lines appears.

Click the preferred font, background and color.

Type the text in the text box. For example, "Best Friends Forever."

Click outside the text box. The outline of the text box disappears. The text displays on the photograph.

Save this photo file.
Uploading the Photo to Facebook

Open your Facebook home page.

Click "Profile." This link is located in the top right corner of the screen. Your profile appears with the header "[Your Name]>Photos."

Click "Photos." This button appears in the left pane.

Click the "+Upload Photos" button. This button is located near the top right corner of the screen.

Click the "Select photos" button.

Search and click the file. The file name appears in the text box.

Click "Open." The "Upload photos" window opens.

Click "Create Album."

Click your preferences, such as "Publish Now" or type in a description.

Tips & Warnings
Save the edited photo with a file name different from the original file. The changed copy remains separate from the original file.
