How to Get Paid to Distribute Circulars

How to Get Paid to Distribute Circulars thumbnail
Look online to find a job getting paid to distribute fliers.

Every day, circulars -- also known as fliers or leaflets -- advertising everything from half-off lunch specials to lost kittens are distributed on people's doormats and on parked cars at shopping centers. Getting paid to hand out fliers can be a great job for students, retirees or anyone looking for a little extra income. Some employers pay by the hour and some by the flier. You can find these jobs on employment websites, but you can also be proactive and advertise yourself.

Buy ream of brightly-colored, 8 1/2-inch by 11-inch paper. Open your word processing program on your computer and create a new document. Click on the "Format" tab at the top of the document to open the text formatting box. Select font style "Bold," and font size "26." Click "OK" at the bottom of the box. In the document, type in your name, phone number and desire to get paid to distribute fliers. Print out two dozen copies of your document on bright paper. Take the flier to local copy houses and ask the manager if you can post your flier somewhere near the copy machines. Tape your flier by the copy machines where people making their own fliers will see it. Ask managers of local animal shelters, grocery stores and post offices if you can post your flier and, if you get permission, post the fliers near the door or other highly-visible area.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you don't have access to a computer and printer to create your job flier, buy a ream of brightly-colored paper and then write your name, phone number and desire to be paid to distribute fliers in large, bold letters with a wide-tip black marker.

  • Be creative -- add borders and other graphics to create an eye-catching flier.

  • As a privacy measure, don't include a picture of yourself or your home address on your flier.
