How to Get Rid of Tiny Frogs in a Fish Pond
Having a fish pond on your property can be very enjoyable; however, there are times when you may find it under attack by tiny frogs. The frogs most commonly found in fish ponds are cricket frogs. These frogs can produce a large number of tadpoles that can quickly take overe your pond and make the water slimy and stagnant. While some people enjoy the sound of frogs chirping in harmony, others may find their sound and presence unbearable. With a little care you can rid your fish pond of this tiny nuisance. Get a mesh net or pool net and a bucket. Put the net in the water. Move the net toward the frogs slowly to scoop them out of the water. Place the frogs in the bucket gently. Continue this until you have removed all visible frogs and tadpoles. Take the frogs to a new location that prevents them from returning to your fish pond.

Clean your fish pond. Remove algae producing plants and materials, as algae can attract frogs and insects. Use a non-toxic insect repellent on nearby plants. Eliminating insects from the pond will remove the frogs' food source. Install a small filtration system in the pond to help prevent future algae growth.

Introduce frog eating fish to your pond. Find a store that sells fish and get several that are of an appropriate size for your pond. The fish you choose must be large enough to eat the tiny frogs and tadpoles. Consider buying goldfish, as they are a natural deterrent to tiny frogs.
