How to Get Accepted to Amazon Associates
If you own a website or blog, it is possible to monetize it when you sign up for an Amazon Associates account. When you get accepted to Amazon Associates, you have the option to place HTML code on your site that generates Amazon ads. These ads display the most relevant products for your readers based on the content of your site. You receive a payment when readers click on the ads or purchase a product from the Amazon site. To get accepted into the program, you need a site that complies with Amazon's standards.

Ensure that your website or blog meets Amazon's quality standards. Almost any website will be accepted into the program as long as it is not offensive and does not violate any trademarks or copyrights.

Go to the Amazon website. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Become an Affiliate" under the "Make Money With Us" heading.

Click on the "Join Now for FREE!" button on the right side of the page. Enter your email address and password if you already use Amazon for buying and selling items. If you don't have an account, click "I Am a New Customer" and sign up for one.

Confirm your address on the next page. If you want payment to be sent to a different address, enter it now. Click "Next: Your Website Profile."

Enter the name of your website, as well as its URL. Provide a brief description of your website's content. Click on the drop-down boxes to choose the primary and secondary topics that your site covers.

Click the check boxes to indicate the types of Amazon products you want to offer on the site. Select all of the ways you drive traffic to your site. Enter any other ways you are already monetizing your site.

Enter the number of visitors your site gets every month, your main reason for joining the Amazon Associates program and how you heard about the program. Click the check box to agree to the Associates Operating Agreement. Click "Finish."

Copy your temporary Amazon Associates code and paste it on your website to get started with the program right away. Amazon will review your site and notify you of any problems. If you are permanently accepted, you will receive an email welcoming you to the program.
