I Would Like to Know How to Replace the Drivebelt on My Amana Washing Machine
Amana washing machines are available in a wide range of models. Each model has a distinct set of specifications and features. A common trait shared by all models is a drive belt system connected to the motor. If the drive belt fails or breaks, the agitator or washer tub will not function properly. Replace a defective or worn out drive belt to keep the Amana washing machine functioning properly. Does this Spark an idea?

Disconnect the power cord from the wall socket.

Remove the pair of screws near the bottom of the front panel. Pull the front panel away from the Amana washing machine cabinet to remove it.

Unhook the spring connecting the washer tub to the chassis on the left side.

Disconnect the electrical connector leading into the motor.

Loosen the four bolts connecting the motor to the washing machine cabinet. Do not completely remove the bolts.

Slide the old belt off the set of pulleys. Position the new belt around the pulleys.

Tighten the four bolts around the motor to restore tension to the belt. Connect the electrical connector leading into the motor.

Hook the spring into its sockets on the left side of the washing machine tub. Reposition the front panel. Install the two screws along the bottom of the panel.
