How to Change Your House Number With the USPS
If you have recently moved -- or are preparing for a big move -- then you will need to file an official Change of Address form with the United States Postal Service. You can file this form online on the USPS website (moversguide.usps.com) or you can submit a hard copy form to the USPS. Pick up an official Change of Address form from your local post office. Visit your local post office.

Ask a postal worker for a Change of Address form.

Fill out the form and submit the form to the USPS. You will need to know your new address in order to fill out the form completely. Keep in mind that by submitting a hard copy form, you do not have to pay the $1 verification fee that is required when submitting the form online.

Visit the USPS' official Change of Address form on its website. Click the orange "Click Here to Begin" button after reading the Privacy Act Statement.

Click the circle icon beside "Permanent." Type the date that you would like the USPS to begin forwarding your mail. Press "Continue."

Select "Family" and "Continue." Type your name, your old address, your new address and your email address. Press "Continue."

Enter your credit card number. The USPS requires a $1 verification charge for changing your address.
