How to See Where Other Facebook Users Have Posted

Your Facebook friends each have their own unique list of friends, some of whom you may also have friended. Although you can see your friend's activity on mutual friends' statuses under the News feed, you'll have to do a little digging to see where else she's posting. Facebook makes it possible to see her general Facebook activity if she hasn't blocked the information, but other sleuthing will be successful only if your friend's friends have visible Walls.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a Web browser, navigate to Facebook and log in to your account.

    • 2

Click on your friend's name to view his Wall, which is a list of his statuses, activities and posts by other friends. Scroll down the list to "Recent Activity." This section displays a list of your friend's recent activity, including recent comments he's left on other individual's statuses and Walls. Click on each "Recent Activity" listing to view the post; the status and his comments will only be visible if that individual doesn't have her wall hidden to nonfriends. Scroll further down your friend's Wall to view older "Recent Activity" lists.

View your friend's activity by clicking "Top News" located at the top of the screen. Scroll down the list and look for posts regarding your friend; you'll see notifications such as "John Doe commented on Jane Smith's status" in addition to that individual's status (if his Wall isn't hidden) as well as your friend's post.
