How to Heal an Industrial Piercing Fast
Body piercings are a creative way to express yourself. An industrial piercing, as typically found in the upper cartilage of the ear, is made up of two piercings connected with a bar. The average industrial piercing will take anywhere from four to six months to heal, and during this time there are many things you can do to take great care of your piercing. Wash your hands as they will be handling and touching the piercings. Dirty hands can lead to infection in the ear.

Wet a washcloth with warm water and gently wipe away any crust that has formed around the ear.

Open up a sterilized gauze pad and clean the two piercings. Try to turn the bar gently as you do this so it cleans all of the bar and the inside of the ear.

Prepare a saltwater bath for your industrial. Fill a bowl with 1 cup of warm water and add 1/4 cup of sea salt.

Dip a gauze pad in the water and clean your ear with it. Repeat this one or two times a day.

Tips & Warnings
Have your piercing done by a trained professional. The wound will heal faster if the procedure is done correctly.
Do not take out your piercing. If you believe you may have an infection, see a doctor or the person that did your piercing.
Avoid infection by wearing clean clothes and staying out of bodies of water.
Do not use gel-based ointments that will prevent air from getting to your ear. Doing so will protract the healing process.
