1
Cut out images from magazines or gather photos you want to include in your picture. Try to stick to one theme for each picture you create. Ideas for themes include flowers, animals, space, sports and superheroes. You can cut out a variety of letters to spell words as well.
-
2
Lay the images out on the canvas. This will help to ensure that you have enough pictures to fill your canvas and give you an idea of what you want the final product to look like.
-
-
3
Paint the entire top of the canvas using acrylic paints. You can paint a solid color, color blocks, stripes or cover the whole thing in different colors and allow them to run together.
-
4
Place your images onto the wet paint in the places you planned out in Step 2. The paint will act as a glue.
-
5
Allow the paint to dry overnight and then hang your canvas.

Tips & Warnings
Create a border by taping the sides of the canvas using painters tape. Once the paint is dry, pull the tape off and you'll have a white border with a clean edge.
