How to Hide a Favicon
Favicon refers to a Windows-based file with the ".ico" extension in which a small icon image exists, typically 16 by 16 or 32 by 32 pixels. Favicons are displayed in the address bar of a Web browser when a website is being viewed. The ".ico" file is a conventional Microsoft Windows file, which makes it possible to apply the "hidden" attribute to it.
