How to Create a Recurring Payment With PayPal thumbnail
PayPal merchants can setup recurring payments with customers.

PayPal is an online business that allows payments and money transfers to be made through the Internet. This service is great for vendors who want to sell their goods or services on an online auction or their own website. However, you may want to set up a recurring payment through PayPal. This will allow you to automatically charge a customer for an ongoing service by the week, month or any other length of time.

Instructions

    • 1

Log into your Paypal account. Click the "Merchant Services" link at the top of the home page.

    • 2

Click "Add to Cart" on the "Merchant Services" page.

    • 3

Select "Automatic Billing" from the drop box beside the "Button Type" heading.

    • 4

Enter a name for your product and customize the way your "PayPal" button will appear.

    • 5

Enter the amount you will be charging customers for each recurring payment through PayPal in the text box labeled "Billing Amount Each Cycle." Select how often the billing cycle will take place and how many cycles should take place before billing will stop.

    • 6

Click "Create Button" and an HTML code will appear in a text box on the next page. Copy and paste this code onto your Web page to embed a PayPal link for setting up recurring payments for your customers.
