How to Work the Child-Lock Function in Frigidaire

Keep your children safe by activating the child-lock feature on your home appliances.

Children like to lend a hand around the house, and while you can't always be around to supervise them, there are measures you can take to make your home a safe environment. Frigidaire offers a number of appliances that have a child-lock feature to prevent children from accidentally turning on the appliances and causing serious injury or death. Make your home safer by taking a few moments to set the child-lock functions on your home appliances.

Instructions

1. Activate the child-lock function on your Frigidaire dryer by holding the "Control Lock" button on your control panel down for five seconds. The panel will beep when the lock has been activated. Repeat the process to unlock the door.

2. Deactivate the control panel on your Frigidaire microwave by pressing the "Help" button, then the "1" button and then the "Start" button. You will know the lock is activated when the words "CHILD LOCK ON" are shown on the display. To deactivate, press the "Help" button followed by the "Clear/Off" button.

3. Enable the child-lock function on your Frigidaire washer by pressing the "Options" and "Select" buttons on the control panel at the same time. Hold both buttons down for ten seconds until the "LOC" message is displayed on the control panel. Unlock the controls by holding down the "Options" and "Select" buttons until the "LOC" message is no longer displayed.
