How to Check a Google Apps Account in Mac Mail
The Mac OS X operating system, which runs on all Apple computers, includes a desktop email application commonly referred to as Mac Mail. With Mac Mail, you can send and receive messages through any email account that uses the POP, IMAP or Exchange protocol. Even users who have an email address through a Google Apps account can configure their mailbox in Mac Mail and use it to check their email.

Click on the "Mail" icon in the dock to launch the Mac Mail application.

Open the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen and choose "Preferences."

Go to the "Accounts" tab at the top of the window.

Click on the plus button on the left side of the window underneath the list of email accounts.

Enter your name, email address and Google Apps password in the appropriate fields. When entering your email address, make sure to use your company or organization's domain and not "gmail.com."

Press the "Create" button to save the account settings.

Click "OK" once the account settings have been verified and then close the Preferences window to view the current contents of your Google Apps inbox.
