Practice drawing a variety of martial arts weapons and tools to add more detail to your Naruto drawings.

Delve into your own imagination for Naruto fan fiction, or draw the popular manga and anime characters just for fun. Whether you are drawing individual characters or creating comic book scenes, images of the characters are necessary for reference material. You can get the images from Naruto comics or websites. When drawing full scenes, you will want to use a ruler to divide up your paper into panels to make up the sections of comic book pages.

Instructions

    • 1

Imagine a scene or pick a character to draw from Naruto. Photocopy a Naruto comic to make it easier to use as a reference. If the pictures seem too small, use the copier to enlarge the image. If you're looking for online images, find the one you like and print it out.

    • 2

Draw the lines for your comic book panels, if you're drawing a full comic page.

    • 3

Sketch the basic shapes of the character(s) very lightly with the pencil. The oval for the head and elongated ovals or rectangles for the torso and limbs need not be perfect, but help establish proper proportions for your drawing. Sketching also helps position the characters in a scene when you're drawing more than one subject. It also comes in handy if you plan to add a detailed background.

    • 4

Begin adding details to the characters, such as facial features, clothing, accessories and appendages. The face is often the most difficult aspect of the drawing for amateur artists to master so take your time and draw lightly so you can easily erase the pencil if needed. Erase the original sketch lines from the final drawing if they are noticeable.

    • 5

Add details for the background, if desired. The details can include action lines to depict motion if the characters are performing fight moves or making exaggerated movements.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add ink to the final drawing and allow it to dry completely before moving or stacking the pages.

  • Do not distribute any photocopies you make, as this is a violation of copyright law.
