GIMP can be used to enhance or retouch photos.

GIMP is an image manipulation program used to retouch photos, create graphics, enhance or edit images and even direct animations. The toolbox within the software is customizable with several dockable dialogs. If you're no longer able to set the size of your brush when working in paintbrush mode, it's probable that the tool options dialog box was accidentally removed. Fortunately, adding it back into the toolbox can be achieved in a few quick, simple steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "Windows" on the menu at the top of the screen.

    • 2

Click "Tool Options" in the Dockable Dialogs menu.

    • 3

Click the word "Paintbrush" in the tool options dialog box. Hold the mouse button down and drag it to the dockable area of the toolbox. The brush size will now appear in the toolbox when you're working in Paintbrush mode.
