How to Write a Thank You Letter to an Interviewing Panel
When you interview with a panel of people, you'll most likely speak with a variety of different representatives at the company. This may include managers, human resource professionals and even your potential future co-workers. This type of interview is common for middle management to executive level positions. Just as you would send a thank you to an individual interviewer, it is wise to send a note to all members of an interviewing panel as well.

1
Load the same file you used to create your job application cover letter. Use that format for your thank you letters to the interviewing panel. Start writing the letters as soon as you get home from the interview so that the details of the meeting are still fresh on your mind. Jot down a few notes directly after the panel interview if necessary.
-
2
Address a unique thank you note to each person on the panel. Make sure you get all of their full names and titles before leaving the meeting.
-
-
3
Open each thank you letter by discussing your recent meeting. Explain that you recently met with the team (include the date and time of the interview) and would like to extend a thank you for an informative and professional interview.
-
4
Discuss specific topics that you and that member of the interviewing panel discussed during the meeting in the second paragraph of your thank you note. For instance, "When you brought up the latest technology that your department plans to integrate in the work process, I immediately knew that my skill set would be beneficial to your company." This shows that you were genuinely interested and engaged in what each panel member had to say.
-
5
Close the thank you letter by stating that you're looking forward to the chance to help the company find effective solutions to its challenges and to meet company goals. Provide your phone number and email address. Sign and print each individual letter on resume paper before sending them.
