How to Find Biological Siblings in Georgia
Biological siblings are sometimes estranged as a result of divorce, adoption or other circumstances. Siblings may have been disconnected during youth, or they may never have met each other. Searching for biological siblings can be an arduous task, especially if you don't know their names. But there are ways to locate a biological sister or brother, especially if you can limit your search to a particular state. In Georgia, the Office of Vital Records may prove handy in locating lost family members.

Visit the state Vital Records Office to request the birth certificates of any biological siblings. These records are not public, but adult siblings of a person named on a certificate are authorized to access records. Obtain and complete a request form at the office, which requires you to provide the full name of the mother (including maiden name) and the full name of father, if known, listed on the birth certificate. Provide a photocopy of a valid photo identification, such as driver's license, to verify that you are authorized to access records. The address for the state office is as follows:
