How to Make a Meeting Agenda Look Elegant
Elegant is defined as "cleverly simple" and "tasteful in design," according to The Free Dictionary website. A meeting agenda serves as a road map designed to keep attendees focused on the topics and to avoid wasting time. There is a general consensus on the correct format of an agenda, but choosing the right wording and appropriate style and design of the document can make it look elegant. However, it is important to keep in mind that whether a document is elegant is subject to the judgment of the reader.

Use polite and sophisticated words. Write the content of the agenda using good manners and polite wording. Choose formal words over plain English to upgrade the document. When typing the names of attendees and/or presenters and chairmen, use their full formal names preceded with "Mr." or "Ms."

Keep the document clean. Stick to information that is necessary and avoid adding superfluous content, suggests William Blank, author of "Elegant Documentation." Mr. Blank explains that white space on a document is important to please and entice the reader. Remember that elegance embodies simplicity.

Be consistent. Choose only one font style and font color for the entire document. Type all headings in the same font size. Use the style function in a word processor rather than trying to remember how each heading was sized and adjusting it each time. Ensure that all indents are on the same ruler measurement.
