How to Name a Butterfly Quilt
Butterfly quilts are intricately designed quilts using a free sewing approach on a sewing machine. This approach allows you the ability to place complex images together as opposed to simple squares. After you've finished a butterfly quilt, you'll need to name it in order to enter it into quilting contests or sell it.

Look at the entire quilt and observe any themes. For instance, if the quilt has stars on it, you may want to incorporate stars into the name.

Think back on your inspiration for the quilt. Consider anything you observed from nature or something from a book that gave you the idea.

Write or stitch the name onto a fabric tag and add it to the quilt for labeling and authenticity purposes. Don't forgot to add your brand or signature to the tag as well.
