How to Reinstall Software on the Hard Drive of an Acer 3000 Laptop
Acer eRecovery is a backup and restoration software included with the Acer Aspire 3000 laptop. Acer eRecovery enables a user to back up the Acer 3000, or reinstall the software, drivers or operating system to the computer's hard drive. Acer eRecovery is installed to a hidden partition on the hard drive. You can boot the computer from the partition and reload the software that originally came with the Acer Aspire 3000.

Turn on the Acer 3000 laptop and log in to Windows XP. Hold down "Alt" and "F10" to launch Acer eRecovery.

Enter the administrative password to continue, or enter the default password, which is six zeroes.

Click "Recovery Actions." Click "Next." Click "Reinstall Applications/Drivers." Click "Next."

Select the software to reinstall to the Acer 3000 laptop. Follow the on-screen prompts to reload the software.
