How to Make a Good Luck Bracelet
Make a penny and 4-leaf clover charm bracelet for a good luck talisman you can wear anywhere. Spread a little bit of good luck around and make the bracelet for a special family member or friend. You can make the bracelet from real pennies, or when making the bracelet for a young child, use plastic play coins instead for an easier jewelry-making project. Build the bracelet with connector rings, which will let you increase the size of the bracelet as the child grows for a lifelong special keepsake.

1
Prepare the pennies for your bracelet. Place a ruler or other straight object across the center of one penny and make a mark on the left and right side, about 1/4-inch from each edge. Repeat with three more pennies.
-
2
Secure one penny in a vise clamp with one of the marks on the penny above the clamp. Drill a hole through the mark using a drill with a 1/16-inch drill bit. Rotate the penny and drill a hole through the other mark. Repeat with the remaining pennies.

3
Open two jump rings with a pair of needle nose pliers. Hook one jump ring through a hole in one penny and hook the other jump ring through the other hole in the penny. Repeat with the remaining three pennies.
-
4
Slide a jump ring onto every jump ring attached to the pennies. Squeeze each open jump ring closed with the pliers.
-
5
Open the newly attached jump ring on the left and right side of one penny. Hook another jump ring onto each open ring and then squeeze the open rings closed. Repeat with the remaining three pennies.
-
6
Open the last jump ring to the right of each penny. Slide a 4-leaf clover charm onto each open ring. Squeeze each ring closed.
-
7
Open the last jump ring to the left of one penny. Hook it onto the 4-leaf clover charm of another penny and chain section and squeeze the ring closed. Repeat with two of the remaining penny and chain sections to make the circular bracelet.
-
8
Open the last jump ring to the left of the last penny. Hook a jewelry clasp onto the jump ring and squeeze it closed. Open the clasp and hook it onto the last jump ring of the bracelet.
-
9
Try on the bracelet. If it is not large enough, open the jump ring to the left or right of each penny and hook on additional rings until the bracelet is large enough.
