How to Work As an RSR at Frito Lay
Frito Lay route sales representatives deliver products to clients within designated areas. They are responsible for informing clients of new product and trying to up-sell product to them. Sales representatives also market to businesses and organizations in their assigned areas that are not Frito Lay customers. Route sales representatives incorporate both delivery driving and sales.

Go to Frito Lay's home page. In the top-right corner, click on "careers." Click "Commissioned Sales, Hourly and Over The Road Drivers." This will take you to a new window through Frito's parent company, PepsiCo, where you can search for all open positions.

Click "search the possibilities" and then enter "route sales" into the box that says "Search Jobs by Keyword." A new window will pop up with all of the search results. View results to decide which position you would like to apply to. An RSR is synonymous with a route sales driver.

Tailor your resume to mimic the job duties and description for the RSR position you are applying to. Make sure you highlight any driving and sales experience.

Follow the application process through the PepsiCo website and submit your resume. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 as many times as necessary to apply to numerous positions.

Highlight any driving and sales experience when interviewing with the company.

Do research on Frito Lay and PepsiCo prior to attending the interview, and write down any questions you would like to ask the interviewer.

The route sales representative is an entry-level position; however, you should still emphasize any sales or driving experience as it will greatly increase the likelihood of obtaining the position. They are looking for individuals that will excel in both fields.
