How to Determine Psychic Ability With a Picture Test
People who believe in extrasensory perception use a variety of tests to check for it in themselves and others, many of which revolve around identifying pictures without seeing them. While you could probably use any sort of picture, the tried-and-true method is Zener cards. The Zener deck is specifically designed for testing telepathy and clairvoyance. It has 25 cards, each of which has one of five symbols printed on it: a circle, a cross, a square, a set of wavy lines, or a star. The symbols are very different from one another, so there is no possibility of confusion.

1
Shuffle the Zener deck thoroughly, and place it face down on the table or floor in front of you.
-
2
Focus on the top card until you believe you know which picture is printed on the other side. Turn the card over, and check your answer. Note on a piece of paper whether or not you were correct.

Return the card to the deck, shuffle again, and repeat the test 24 more times, tallying your correct and incorrect guesses. If you guess more than 20 percent correctly, you are demonstrating clairvoyant ability.

Perform the same test with a friend to determine telepathic ability. Have your friend turn over a card and focus on mentally sending you the knowledge of which picture is on it, while you focus on receiving the information from your friend. If you guess correctly more than 20 percent of the time, you are demonstrating telepathy.

Tips & Warnings
Many psychics believe that computer-generated images are not useful for testing for psychic abilities, because there is no real object involved. Using hard-copy cards to test for clairvoyance and a friend to test for telepathy eliminates this problem.
