How to Change the Looks of Your "World of Warcraft" Character
In "World of Warcraft," you create your own individual character. Once you customize your character, you are able to play as her in the world of Azeroth. However, as you level your character, you may no longer like the way she looks. Instead of creating a new character and starting over, you can alter your toon's appearance. If there are minor details you wish to change, such as the markings on your character's face or the hairstyle, you can do this free in the game. If you wish to change the entire appearance of your character, you can pay for a Character Customization.

Launch "World of Warcraft" and sign on. Select the character you wish to change.

Go to a major city that has a barbershop. It will be Stormwind and Ironforge for the Alliance and for the Horde you will find the barbershop in Orgrimmar and the Undercity. Ask the Guard NPC if you need the specific location of the barbershop. The location will be marked on your map.

Right click on the barber chair when you are in the barbershop. Change the color or style of your hair, markings, beard, earrings or tattoos. Click the "Okay" button to confirm when you are satisfied.
Character Customization

Go to World of Warcraft website. Click on the "Services" tab located underneath the "World of Warcraft: Cataclysm" logo.

Look on the right-hand side of the page. Locate "Character Customization" under the "Character Services" tab. Click on the link to proceed.

Log in to your Battle Net account. Select the character you wish to change. Be sure to select the correct realm and character. Your character can only be customized once every three days.

Read and agree to the conditions and disclaimers. Enter the correct credit card information to pay for the customization. Hit "Continue" to complete the transaction.

Launch "World of Warcraft" and sign in. Choose the realm your character is on and you will be prompted to change the appearance.

Tips & Warnings
You will not be able to change the race or faction of your character under your Character Customization.
