How to Get Vietnamese in WordPress

Wordpress supports the creation of multilingual blogs and websites.

With Wordpress, you can create blogs and websites in many different languages. The easiest way to create a Vietnamese blog is to download the Vietnamese version of Wordpress and install it the way you would any other Wordpress installation. Alternatively, you can download a language plugin that provides content support in many different languages, including English and Vietnamese. QTranslate is one such plugin that provides multiple areas for inputting text as well as a language-choosing toolbar for users.

Instructions

Installing Vietamese Version of Wordpress

1. Go to the Vietnamese version of Wordpress, vi.wordpress.org.

2. Download the Vietnamese version of Wordpress by clicking on the red download button, which reads "T?i WordPress 3.0 v?."

3. Unzip Wordpress. Rename the wp-config-sample.php file to "wp-config.php". Edit the file with a text editing program to fill in your server details, which are given on the Wordpress Codex's "Editing wp-config.php" help file.

4. Upload the Wordpress directory to your web server.

5. Access "wp-admin/install.php" installed in your directory to install Wordpress.

Installing a Language Plugin

1. Download the plugin from the plugin's website, and unzip the files. Upload them into the /wp-content/plugins directory.

2. Log into your wp-admin page. From the control panel, click "Plugins" to view your uploaded plugins.

3. Find the language plugin you installed, then click "Activate" to activate it.

4. Click "Settings" or "Preferences" to set up your language settings.

5. Enable or Disable languages from the settings panel.
