How to Install G Talk on a Mac

G Talk -- more commonly referred to as Google Talk -- is a free VoIP application from Google for chatting online. Google provides a desktop client for Google Talk, but unfortunately it is only available for Windows as of the time of this publication. If you want to use Google Talk on a Mac, you don't need to install any software. Apple's iChat, the default chat application on Mac OS X, is compatible with Google Talk. Add your Google Talk account to iChat to begin chatting.

Click the "iChat" icon in your dock to open iChat. If you do not have iChat in your dock, you can also access it from your "Applications" folder.
