How Do I Get a Studio for My Sims2?
The Sims 2 is part of The Sims' original franchise, which is one of the best-selling franchise games as of 2011. The Sims 2 gives gamers the chance to create characters and families. With The Sims 2, players have the ability to build houses, get careers and even build an at-home art studio to earn a living. Building a studio in The Sims 2 is possible without creating a business in the town---as studios are simple to add to any traditional home your Sims currently live in.

Load The Sims 2 and choose the family you would like to play in to load the Sim's house or lot that you are living in.

Open the "Build Mode" by selecting the build mode icon in game or by pressing "F3" on your computer's keyboard.

Select the "Wall" tool and use your mouse and left-click and drag, creating walls to complete building a room, which will become your Sim's studio. Choose the "Wallpaper" tool and select a wallpaper to suit your studio's theme. Press and hold "Ctrl" on your keyboard when selecting a wall panel in your Sim's studio to fill the room with the wallpaper. Do the same for the flooring using the "Build" tool.

Add windows and a door to your Sim's studio within the "Build" section of the game by choosing the door icon along with the window icon to help complete the basics of the studio.

Press "F2" or press the "Buy" icon to begin shopping for your Sim's studio.

Browse to the "Tables" section to purchase a desk for your new studio.

Open the "Electronics" section of the catalog to purchase a computer, telephone or radio for your Sim's studio.

Browse to the "Entertainment" part of the catalog to purchase an art easel, a telescope or a guitar for your Sim's studio.

Tips & Warnings
Pressing "Ctrl" + "C" will open The Sims' cheat menu. Enter "motherlode" and press "Enter" on your keyboard to give your current Sim's household an additional $50,000 to use.
