How to Change My College MTU Settings
If you're having networking issues with your college campus' Internet connection, a low MTU setting may be to blame. Computers, online gaming consoles and other devices rely on a good MTU setting for a smooth online connection. Changing the MTU to 1492 may resolve most of these issues, depending on your college's campus-wide connection. In most cases, you may be able to adjust the MTU without help from your college's IT department.
