The Hypercom T7 Plus enables you to accept credit cards by connecting to your credit card processor each time you swipe a customer's card.

The Hypercom T7 Plus is a compact, portable credit card terminal that connects to a regular telephone line and is powered by a 120 volt AC to 24 volt DC adapter and transformer. It includes a swipe reader for reading credit card data as well as a printer to print receipts. It's a cost-effective and convenient solution for small businesses that handle credit cards. To install your Hypercom T7 Plus, all you need to do is connect it to a phone jack and an electrical outlet.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the power cable of the adapter that came with your Hypercom T7 Plus to the three-pin jack marked "PWR" at the back of your unit.

    • 2

Plug the adapter into a grounded power outlet. Wait for it to beep twice and go through its self-test routine to make sure that your adapter and unit are working properly. Contact warranty service or your dealer in the event of any problems.

    • 3

Plug one end of the phone cord that's included with your terminal into a regular phone jack or into the "Line" port of an optional Hypercom splitter that you insert into your phone jack if you need to run a phone and your terminal from the same phone jack.

    • 4

Insert the other end of your phone cord into the port marked "Line" at the rear of your unit. Make sure you insert it into the line port at the very edge of the terminal and not the adjacent keypad port.

    • 5

Insert paper by squeezing the paper cover tabs, lifting the paper cover, inserting a roll of paper so that the paper feeds from under the roll, pulling the edge over the printer and refastening the paper cover while holding the roll of paper so that the cover clicks into place.

    • 6

Run a test transaction to make sure your terminal is properly connected and in proper working order.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use only the adapter and phone cord that were supplied with your terminal, or genuine Hypercom replacements.

  • Use only thermal printing paper.
