With a Cub Cadet tractor, you can clear a sidewalk of snow in a fraction of the time.

The versatility of Cub Cadet tractors is one of the most attractive aspects of these lawn tractors. Backhoes, lawn-mowing blades and front-end loaders are useful attachments, but a snowplow blade may be more critical in areas that receive large amounts of snow each year. A Cub Cadet tractor equipped with a snowplow eliminates the need for a snow blower or a shovel because the swath a blade scrapes is wider than most walk-behind blowers and is certainly wider than that of a shovel. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Mount the lawn tractor. Initiate the parking brake located below the steering column and display panel. Fire the engine by turning the ignition key located to the right of the steering column. Put the throttle control lever in the forward position and at half capacity rpm.

    • 2

Raise the blade with the deck lift lever located over the right wheel-well and lock the lever in place by sliding it into the securing slot. Press forward on the drive pedal to advance the Cub Cadet forward. Position the tractor where you want to begin plowing.

    • 3

Lower the snow plow blade to 1/2 an inch above the ground. Advance the tractor forward and begin plowing snow. Make a complete pass through the length of the plowing area, lift the blade with the deck lever and turn the Cadet around. Make another pass through the plowing area adjacent to the first swath. Again, raise the blade, turn the Cub around and make another pass adjacent to your last swath. Continue until your plowing is complete.
