Kids and adults enjoy playing card games.

Parker Brothers games released a card game for children based on Disney's "The Lion King" in 1993 called "The Lion King: Circle of Life Card Game." This game is for two to four players as young as 5 years old. The first player to complete the "Circle of Life" wins. Six cards make up the circle of life -- Baby Simba, Mufasa, Timon and Pumba (one card), Nala, Lion King and Simba's son. Each player's Circle of Life cards must have the same color around the border.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove one color matching set (eight cards) of the Circle of Life cards if there are only two players.

    • 2

Pick a dealer. The dealer gives each player a Baby Simba card to start with. The color of your Baby Simba card determines what color the rest of your Circle of Life cards must be.

    • 3

Shuffle the rest of the deck and pass out three cards to each player face down. The remaining cards become the draw pile. The player left of the dealer is first, and play continues to the left.

    • 4

Draw a card from the draw pile to begin play, and play a card if possible. If you have a Circle of Life card in your color, place it with your Baby Simba card, building your Circle of Life.

    • 5

Play a Hyena card. When you play a Hyena card, it means you can pick any one card from any one player. The Hyena card goes face up on the discard pile and you pick any player to show his hand to everyone. You may pick one of his cards if you want to. If you choose a Circle of Life card of your color or a Scar card, you may play it immediately. However, if the player you pick with your Hyena card has a Rafiki card, she may play it by placing it in the discard pile; she does not have to show her hand, and play resumes.

    • 6

Play a Bug Fest card. Playing this card is similar to a Hyena card, but in this case, all of the players except you must show their hand to everyone else. You then get to pick one card from any player. Again, if the card chosen is a Circle of Life card of your color, or a Scar card, you may play it immediately.

    • 7

Play a Scar card to interrupt another player's Circle of Life. You place the Scar card on another player's Mufasa or Lion King card and then he has to put down another Mufasa or Lion King card to defeat Scar. Once a Scar card has been played, that particular Mufasa or Lion King card may not have another Scar card played on it.

    • 8

Continue play until one player has laid down all six of his Circle of Life cards.
