How to Delete Contacts From a BlackBerry SIM Card on Bold

Storing contacts on your SIM card allows you to move them from one phone to another, but contacts on a SIM are limited to names and phone numbers. If you copy a contact to the BlackBerry, you can store more information, but the contact will show up twice. You can delete contacts from your BlackBerry's SIM card using the menus under the Contacts section.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the "Contacts" icon from the BlackBerry's main screen.

    • 2

Press the BlackBerry logo menu button.

    • 3

Highlight "SIM Phone Book" and press the trackpad.

    • 4

Select the SIM contact you want to delete.

    • 5

Press the BlackBerry logo menu key.

    • 6

      Click "Delete."

Tips & Warnings

  • The BlackBerry only allows you to delete one contact at a time. If you have a lot of contacts to clear, you can take the phone and SIM card into one of your carrier's local stores and have them delete all the SIM contacts at once.
