How to Load an Applique Design to Your Monogram Machine

Applique designs are a colorful way to liven up a plain object or garment. Adding an applique to a tote bag or a T-shirt is a cute way to personalize items. Appliques are a good way to use up your extra scraps of fabric. The easiest way to sew on an applique is to use an embroidery machine. There are many sites where you can buy and download applique designs. Once you have purchased the designs, you will need to load them to your embroidery machine. This is a quick process and you'll be appliqueing in no time.

Things You'll Need

• Computer
• Embroidery design program
• Applique file
• USB cord or memory card box
• Embroidery machine

Instructions

1. Open the applique file with your embroidery software on your computer.

2. Add any monograms or personalization and save the file.

3. Insert the memory card into the card reader box or attach the USB cord to the computer and the embroidery machine.

4. Transfer the applique file to the sewing machine or the memory card.

5. Insert the memory card into the embroidery machine or unplug the USB cord from the computer and machine. Check that the applique file shows up on the embroidery machine.
