How to Turn on Header_Banner in Zen Cart

If you have your own website, you can install Zen Cart on that site. Zen Cart is free e-commerce software that enables you to put a shopping cart on your website for the products that you are selling. Once the software is uploaded to your website server, you can edit and tweak cart settings, including the header banner. Header banner customizations are all handled online from the already installed software administration panel.

Instructions

1. Log into your Zen Cart administration area. From there, click on "Configuration" and then "Layout Settings."

2. Scroll until you see the heading "Banner Display Groups." Enter "Wide-Banners" without the quotes in the text box asking what types of banners you want to display. These are the only banner types that can display in the header area.

3. Choose a position for your banner from the three numbered options. Option one is above the shop box. Option two is by the logo. Option three is under the navigation area. Click on "Save" once you have made your selection.

4. Go to "Tools" and then "Banner Manager" from the administration area to edit, delete and add banners. Click "New Banner" to add a banner, "Edit" to edit a banner or "Delete" to delete a banner. Press the red or green status button to toggle between the enable and disable status for a banner.
