How to Set a Faceted Stone in a Bezel
Making your own jewelry involves much more than simply beading cord with different charms and bead varieties. In fact, you can experiment with using fine gemstones, bezels and cabochon findings. Knowing how to set a faceted gemstone into a bezel doesn't take a lot of time, but it does require a steady hand and the desire to create a signature piece of fine homemade jewelry.

1
Grasp the faceted gemstone with the tweezers, positioning it so the flat or pointed side is untouched by the tweezers.
-
2
Apply a small dot of jewelry glue to the broad, bezel side of the gem. Depending on the shape of the gem, this will be the flat or pointed side. If only one side of the gemstone is faceted, do not apply glue to this side.

3
Press the glued side of the gemstone into the bezel, assuring that you have selected a bezel in a shape and size that accommodates the stone. Use the tip of the tweezers to adjust the gemstone before the glue sets. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes.
