How to Re-Upload Torrent With a Different Tracker
A torrent is a means of sharing files over the Internet. In order to download a torrent, you must connect to a "tracker," which is a central server that contains information regarding the torrent and all the computers that are either uploading or downloading the file. To upload a file through torrent software, you must choose a tracker to which you will upload your torrent file. If you have uploaded a file through a torrent tracker and wish to make the file accessible to more people, you can choose to upload the torrent to new trackers.

1
Open your torrent client and determine where on your hard drive it saves downloads. If your torrent file is in another location, move it to that folder. As most torrent clients only look for uploads and downloads in this one folder, you will be unable to upload the file if it is located elsewhere.
-
2
Open the torrent file with your torrent client. Open the "Advanced Settings" for the torrent. Most torrent clients will have a box for "Trackers" in the advanced settings options. If you cannot find a box that allows you to enter a tracker, check the help file on your particular torrent client.

3
Navigate to the website where you wish to upload the torrent. Find the site's instructions for connecting to their tracker. Each site will have a specific URL that allows users to "announce" their torrent, meaning that if you enter that URL into your torrent's tracker box, it will be visible on that website.
-
4
Add the URL for the tracker into your torrent's "Tracker" settings. Select "Save" or "OK" to add the tracker to the torrent. The torrent will now perform a check to ensure the tracker is working and the torrent will appear on the new tracker.
