How to Find My Google Verification ID
The Google verification ID connects your Webmaster Tools account to your Web pages. You can find the verification ID in your main home page HTML file. The verification ID is stored in a meta tag, which is located at the top of your Web page. You open your home page in an editor and view the meta tag to locate the ID for your website.

Right-click the HTML home page file. The file name for a home page is typically "index.html" or "default.html." Select "Open With" in the popup menu and double-click your preferred HTML editor.

Locate the meta tag for Google verification. Press the "Ctrl" and the "F" keys on the keyboard. Copy and paste "google-site-verification" into the "Find" dialog box.

Press "Enter" to scroll directly to the Google verification ID. The meta tag value displayed in your HTML file is the identification of your site for your Google Webmaster Tools application.
