Plug the electric torque wrench power cord into and electrical outlet and set the direction of spin for the wrench. Move the lever forward on the wrench to tighten the bolt and backward to loosen the bolt.

Determine the amount of torque needed by consulting the owner's manual for the part to be adjusted.

Turn the dial on the front of the wrench head clockwise to increase the amount of torque. Turn the dial counterclockwise to reduce the amount of torque.
