How to Make a Paper Frog That Hops
Frogs are cute and interesting creatures, popular for their amazing jumping abilities. Some frogs have the ability to jump distances 20 times their body length in a single leap! If you are interested in these fascinating creatures and have a love for crafting, you can easily create a hopping frog out of paper using a simple origami technique. This craft is suitable for all ages as it is not messy and requires very little supplies.

Lay the origami paper colored side facing down on a flat surface.

Fold the paper in half vertically and then unfold it. A fold line should be visible down the center of the paper.

Fold all four corners of the sheet of paper towards the center so that it forms a diamond shape.

Fold to of the square's edges toward the center to form a kite shape.

Fold the bottom tip of the kite shape up towards the center to form a triangle.

Fold the bottom corners of the triangle so that the tips are touching the center line.

Fold the bottom edge of the shape up and then fold half of the edge back down.

Fold the top corner down and then turn the paper over.

Add two black dots to the narrower end of the paper frog. This will be the head of the frog.

Press and let go of the back end of the frog to make it hop.

Create a bunch of hopping paper frogs with a group of friends and do a frog race. This activity is great for a classroom setting.
