How to Freeze Raspberries in Halloween Cookies
During Halloween time, get the family together for a day of baking and decorating themed cookies to celebrate the holiday. Adding raspberries to the cookie dough adds flavor and nutrition and the fruit can be incorporated into your spooky designs. Things You'll Need
- bowl
- favorite cookie recipe
- raspberries
- cookie baking sheet
- plastic wrap
- spatula
- hand mixer
- knife
- Halloween cookie cutters
- orange, black and white icing

Mix your cookie dough as normal using your favorite recipe.

Wash, rinse and chop fresh raspberries. Shake them dry and then fold them into your cookie dough using a spatula.

On a floured surface, roll cookie dough out with a rolling pin. Using Halloween cookie cutters, cut your cookie dough into Halloween shapes. For an extra treat, press your thumb in the middle of each cookie while the dough is moist and fill the indented section with raspberry jam.

Bake cookies according to recipe directions.

Allow cookies to cool.

Using orange, white and black icing, design and color your cookies. Create ghosts using white icing. Add fresh raspberry bits to make eyes and a mouth. Make orange pumpkins using orange icing with raspberry eyes.

To prepare for freezing, wrap cookies twice with plastic wrap and label them with the date and type of cookie on the package. Place in the freezer.

Cookies will last for 3 or 4 weeks in the freezer.
When ready to eat, let cookies thaw to room temperature or microwave for approximately 30 seconds or until thawed.
