How to Get Messages Off of a SIM Card for an LG Neon

The SIM card in the LG Neon cellphone can store text messages but the amount of memory on the card is limited. The phone's memory has more storage capacity. You can move text messages back and forth between the SIM card and the Neon's internal memory as needed using the "Messaging" menu. You cannot store MMS messages or emails on the SIM card, only SMS text messages.

Instructions

1. Touch "Menu" and then tap "Messaging."

2. Open "Inbox" and highlight the messages you want to transfer.

3. Touch "Options," then tap "Move" or "Copy." The "Move" option transfers the messages and deletes them from the SIM. The "Copy" function creates duplicate messages on the phone and leaves the originals on the SIM card.

Tips & Warnings

• Transfer the text messages back to the SIM card by selecting "Move" again.
