Visit the Tumblr website on a computer. Log in using your email address and password. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click the "Goodies" button. The page that loads contains all the settings you need to connect your phone to Tumblr.

Download the Tumblr application for your iPhone, BlackBerry or Android device. You can email a link for the application from the Goodies page, or you can access your phone's application store and search for Tumblr. The Tumblr application allows you to look through your dashboard and make any kind of new post. If you choose to post a photo or a video, you will be given the option to use an existing file on your phone, or to create a new photo or video.

Visit the Tumblr website on any Internet-enabled device. The Tumblr page automatically resizes itself so that you can see it properly in the browser. The truncated page allows you to post any kind of message to your Tumblr feed, but the process will not integrate with the files on your smartphone. You can choose "Standard View" at the bottom of the screen to see the website as you would on a computer. When using this view, you are able to access and alter your Tumblr settings.

Create a Tumblr post through a text message or an email. You will see an email address under the "Post by Email" heading on the Goodies page. This is your personal email address that you need to send posts to to have them uploaded to your Tumble feed. Tumblr will automatically recognize what kind of posts to make depending on what the email message holds. You can post texts, quotes, chats, photos, audio files, video files and links. You can also include Markdown syntax to your messages by adding "!m" anywhere in the emails subject line.

Post an audio message to your Tumblr feed by making a phone call. Find the "Call in audio" heading on the Goodies page and make note of the 1-866 number there. Click the "Configure" button underneath the number. Enter your phone number into the blank and type in a one-to-four digit PIN number, if you desire. Click "Save" to complete the process. Whenever you dial the 1-866 number from the phone that you entered, you will be able to make audio posts to your Tumble feed.
