How to Draw a Spider Step-by-Step
Drawing spiders may seem like a basic design, but drawing a realistic spider can be challenging. Draw a spider as it would be seen from the top, for a realistic angle. This spider drawing works when added to another drawing, on its own or even painted on a face for Halloween. Fill in the details of the spider to make it look like a specific species, like a black widow, if desired.

1
Draw a large, tear-shaped body for the spider. At the wide base of the tear, add a circle that connects with the tear. These two parts are the body and head.
-
2
Draw two fang-like protrusions pointing out from the head. On the outside of the two fangs, draw two smaller fangs.
-
-
3
Fill in the tear shaped body of the spider with a pattern like thick, black, horizontal stripes.
-
4
Draw a line straight from the point of the tear, up on the page to represent the web the spider hangs from. Connect the web to another image on the page if desired.
-
5
Add legs by drawing lines coming out of the abdomen. Two lines on each side come out and go towards the head of the spider. Two lines on each side go towards the back of the spider. Each set of lines is equal to the other in length.
