How to Get a BSA Scouting Commission
For almost 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has provided a valued-based program for young people that builds character, trains and promotes responsible citizenship, and develops personal fitness. To help Scout units succeed, commissioners are appointed as district and council leaders. Their duties include coaching and consulting with adult leaders of Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, and Venturing crews. Commissioners promote and help maintain the standards of the Boy Scouts of America.
