How to Convert RAR Files to Movies

A RAR file is like a ZIP file; it is an archive file format that compresses data to reduce disk usage and combines individual or multiple files into a single file. RAR files can contain multimedia objects, such as movies, music or pictures. Users often separate a single movie file into several RAR files to reduce file size and make the downloading or uploading of the file easier. If you have a movie that's been stored inside several RAR files, you can extract the movie to convert the RAR file to video.

Instructions

1. Download and install WinRAR, 7Zip or WinZip to the computer.

2. Click "Start." Click "Computer" to open Windows Explorer. Go to the folder where the RAR files are stored.

3. Double-click one of the RAR files to open WinRAR, 7Zip or WinZip. Go to the "Videos" folder in Windows Explorer.

4. Left-click the movie contained in the RAR file. Drag-and-drop the movie into the "Videos" folder to extract the movie.
