You report your Verizon Wireless phone stolen by suspending the phone's service through MyVerizon online. The suspension will be effective immediately and you will not be charged for any additional use with that specific phone. MyVerizon also sends a report automatically to Verizon to notify the company that the phone has been stolen. It only takes a few minutes to set up the suspension for the device. In addition to reporting to Verizon, you should notify your local police department of the theft along with your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Step 1

Open a web browser on your computer. Navigate to the MyVerizon web page at myverizon.com.

Step 2

Click the "Sign-In" button in the upper-right corner of the page. Enter your username and password then click "Sign In."

Step 3

Click the "Quick Links" button and then select "Suspend/Resume Service." Choose the "Suspend" option on the next page. Follow the automated instructions on the page to suspend your phone's service.
