How to Find Travel Mates

Meet travel mates while on vacation.

Once the decision to take time off and travel has been made individuals may want to start looking for a travel mate to share the experience. This can include contacting friends through social media sites, posting a notice at work or placing an ad on a travel website.

Instructions

1. Send a message to acquaintances and friends through social media sites, such as Twitter and Facebook about needing a travel mate. Include a brief description about the destination, the itinerary and how trip money will be spent.

2. Tack a notice on a bulletin board at a local college or at work inquiring if fellow students or colleagues are looking for or are interested in traveling with a partner.

3. Place an ad on websites, such as TravBuddy or helpx. Websites such as these allow individuals to connect with fellow travelers around the world through messages boards or blog posts.

4. Take the plunge and meet travel mates while on vacation through guest houses, hotels and hostels.
