How to Get Stuff for a Wedding on the Sims 3

The Sims 3 is the third installment of the popular life simulation series available for PC, Mac, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Ds and mobile platforms. In the game, you take control of a Sim or family of Sims and guide them through life, building a home, progressing through careers and raising a family. One of the many things you can do is get married. If you are going to throw a wedding party, having all of the necessary party items will keep your guests entertained and ensure that they have a good time.

Schedule the party. Use your cursor to highlight your engaged Sim and select that Sim to open his option menu. Select “Throw Party”, choose “Wedding Party” and then select your party settings, which include date, time and attire.

Open the “Buy” menu. This will vary depending on the platform you are playing. Refer to your game’s instruction manual for specific instructions on how to do this for your game system.

Select the “Sort by Function” icon to sort the items by their function rather than room.

Select the “Entertainment” tab.

Select the “Parties” icon to show party items.

Purchase items for your party. You can buy a buffet table, drink bar, balloons, wedding cake and other party-related items to enhance your wedding party. If you do not have a stereo, purchase one from the “Electronics” tab so your guests can dance.

Select your Sim again once the party has started and the bride and groom are both there. Then, choose “Get Married” to exchange vows. A priest will appear and the party guests will gather around to watch the ceremony.
