How to Clean a MacBook Pro Fan

As with any computer, the MacBook Pro can generate large amounts of heat. This is typically ventilated out with the computer's fan, but over time, the fan can accumulate dust, which can reduce its performance. With a can of compressed air, you can easily and quickly clean your MacBook Pro's fan.

Things You'll Need

• Can of compressed air

Instructions

1. Turn off the MacBook Pro.

2. Angle the can's nozzle into the gap between the keyboard and monitor. This is where your computer's fans expel heat.

3. Begin blowing air into this space. Shift the nozzle's position and angle to the gap to ensure that air is blown throughout the entire computer.

4. Continue blowing air into the computer until no more visible dust can be seen. Turn on the MacBook to finish the cleaning process.
