How to Turn Off Skype Settings on Facebook

Skype, the Internet phone service, allows users to connect their account with their Facebook account. This facilitates contacts with friends on Facebook, and offers users access to their Facebook news feeds from their Skype account. If you no longer wish to view news feeds or updates from Facebook on your Skype account, change your settings in both your Facebook page and your Skype account.

Instructions

Settings in Facebook

1. Log onto your Facebook page.

2. Click on "Choose Your Privacy Settings," then select "Applications, Games and Websites."

3. Click on the "Edit Settings" button opposite the words "Applications you use."

4. Click on "Remove Application" to cancel Skype's access to all of your data.

Settings in Skype

1. Log onto Skype to disable your Facebook news feed and updates.

2. Click on the "Facebook" tab, and click "Manage Feeds." Select "Disconnect from Facebook."

3. Click on "View" from the top menu.

4. Click on "Facebook Updates" if that item is checked, or leave it alone if it is not checked.
